Our
Room of Needs is a type of
devotional for those who are, already have, or are just embarking on a
process of emotional, spiritual or any sort of healing of the heart and mind.

I am one of the people Kathi was thinking of when she put this book together. I’ve been on the questioning side of the fence. I’ve locked rooms of my life that needed to be pried open; and, I’ve entered rooms never intended for my visit. There have been, and continue to be, times in my life when the darkness obscures my vision. On the other hand, I’ve also seen the Light! I’ve experienced Christ working in and around me in ways that fill me with overwhelming joy. Staying afloat, as a servant of Christ throughout this roller coaster of human experience, is what Our Room of Needs is all about.
I immediately found Kathi’s reflections in this book to be a comfort and an inspiration. It was a comfort in affirming the fact that I was not alone on this roller coaster and an inspiration in demonstrating through Kathi’s experiences that Christ was with me, an ever-present guide through the wilderness of my inner being.
As I read further, Our Room of Needs became profoundly provocative. The pictures of Kathi’s artwork, individually placed throughout the book, have created a visceral connection between the written words and the emotions they reference. These visual stimuli have offered me the rich opportunity to springboard into scenes from my own life experiences. It is this transformational aspect of Room of Our Needs that I value most highly. It is this aspect of the book that keeps me coming back for more and that has allowed Christ to speak to me as I read and ponder the pages. It is my hope that you will find this beautiful little book as meaningful as I have.
